MEET OUR TEAM

ALBERT DORIA , JR.

President & CEO

Albert Doria Jr. is a husband & father, sports and travel enthusiast, a community leader, and the Founder, Owner & President of Gulf Coast Insurance, LLC in Naples, FL and First Carolina Insurance, LLC in Lexington, SC. Albert started his insurance career right out of college in 1994 serving as an agent, underwriter, and claims adjuster for a National Insurance company in SC & FL. Albert founded Gulf Coast Insurance in 2000 to fill a need in the Southwest Florida Market and later founded First Carolina Insurance in Lexington, SC. Albert enjoys educating his clients on insurance, their coverages and assisting them in analyzing their risks and needs to make sure they are properly protected when a claim occurs.

Believe it or not, Albert has a life outside of insurance. He is a lover of sports, especially college football, and he enjoys traveling-- seeing neat places. He has been a youth coach, served on various non-profit boards, and volunteered throughout the community. What Albert values most is being a husband & father. Albert is married to the former, Jennifer Karen Lucas from Gilbert, SC, whom he met and became friends with when attending college together at Charleston Southern University. Albert & Jennifer have five children, Graylyn, Noah, Tebow, AJ, and Sophia.

JENNIFER L. DORIA

Vice President of Finance

Jennifer L. Doria, a member of the First Carolina Insurance leadership team, is a lifelong resident of Gilbert, South Carolina. She graduated from Lexington High School where she excelled in academics and was a varsity cheerleader. Jennifer attended Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina where she earned a degree in Elementary Education and then went on to earn a Master's degree from Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina.

After educating children in Lexington District One for 25 years, she retired from the classroom in 2020. Jennifer and her husband, Albert Doria Jr., are the proud parents of five children, Graylyn, Noah, Tebow, AJ and Sophia. When not at work, she can be found spending time with family, reading, at the beach, traveling or decorating and organizing her home. She loves country music, attending concerts and college football, especially the Clemson Tigers.

GARY BLIGHT

Agent

Gary Blight is a local leader born in Lexington, SC. He is a Husband, Father, Coach, and Friend who loves his community and neighbors. Gary has been a local insurance agent for the past twelve years and enjoyed the mortgage industry the prior ten years. He spent the first part of his career helping clients "Purchase" their dreams and the second half is his career helping families "Protect" their dreams.

Gary met his wife while attending University of SC and they married in 2003. Gary and Angie have two sons (Logan and Kaden) that keep them busy with all sports. Gary has coached Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Running teams as their sons have grown through the years. Currently when not attending their son's high school sporting events, Gary still volunteers as a RunHard coach at New Providence Elementary School. Gary also enjoys Running, Cycling, and the occasional Triathlon when time allows.

MORGAN PHELPS

Agent / Marketing Director

Morgan Phelps is from a small town in Spartanburg, SC called Boiling Springs. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, but her background is in customer service. She is a proud dog mom to her Border Collie. She enjoys traveling, yoga and hanging out in the mountains. In her free time, she can be found out with her friends or curled up in bed with a good book. A little-known fact about Morgan is that she is striving to live a sustainable lifestyle. She is FCI’s Marketing Director and licensed producer!

JAMIE MILLER

Agent

Jamie Miller, a South Carolina raised, proud wife and mother of two children, is the newest member of our First Carolina family. Jamie has a strong background in customer service and marketing. Prior to joining First Carolina, Jamie was a licensed Life and Health insurance agent who enjoyed helping her clients secure their futures by offering products to protect their families. In her spare time, Jamie likes to work on DIY projects around her home and spending time with family and friends. Jamie also enjoys college sports. She is a huge Florida Gator fan. Jamie's versatile education and customer service background brings a unique skill set to our team.

GRAYLYN CLAMP

Customer Service Team

Graylyn Clamp has joined our team as a Customer Service Representative. She is a daughter, sister and friend to many. She was born and raised in Gilbert, South Carolina and graduated from Gilbert High School. She enjoys country music and spending time with her friends and family. When she's not working, Graylyn loves to spend her summers at Edisto Beach and on Lake Murray. She likes a wide variety of things such as hunting, riding jet skis and four wheelers, and going to concerts. Graylyn is excited to join the Customer Service Team!

Charlene Jones

Customer Service Team

Charlene Jones, one of the newest members of First Carolina Insurance, was born and raised in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina. She graduated from Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina with a degree in Elementary Education. After educating children for 28 years, she retired from the classroom.

Charlene is a proud wife and mother of three children. When not at work, Charlene can be found spending time with family, reading, at the beach, or beside the pool. She loves college football, especially the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. She is very excited about her new career path and can’t wait to serve others with their insurance needs.
